3D Automated Strain Measurement System

The ASAME system (Automated Strain Analysis and Measurement Environment), developed by the American Company Camsys is distributed exclusively in Europe by TechLab.

The reputation of this technology is not to be made considering all the automotive manufacturers as well as a wide part of steel or aluminium producers equipped with ASAME.

ASAME achieve easily non-contacting reliable strain measurement very quickly. The principle uses 2D images triangulation to recover 3D coordinates of a square or circular grid deposed before stress. The software allows to define the strain along a section and to determine the Forming Limit Curve (FLC) of the product. It is then possible to compare the strain fields of a lot of samples instantaneously. The three versions of the ASAME system (table, portable and target) can be used for laboratory applications as well as those of research centres. It is possible to achieve analysis directly on production site with a camera equipped with a D1 NIKON digitizer.

2D Automated Strain Measurement system

Asame 2D Model is a full automatic system which can provide a FLD by analyzing a sequence of picture grabbed during the deformation process. Easy to install in several model of press machine, the ASAME 2D Model is a real cost-safe and time-safe system for Forming Limit Diagram determination. Howerever, by including the height parameter, you can also analyze un-flat sample (Bulge Test Machine), the software will procced automatically to the height integrate into the strain calculation.

IcaSoft, 2D Speckle Measurement Software

 IcaSoft, is a smart software to analyse and diagnose quickly flat strain and displacement using random pattern. Using two bitmap images in grey scale, the software measures, in term of pixel, the difference between two steps of your material. IcaSoft  is able to calculate with two different interpolation method (bi-linear or spline) and two different correaltion mode ( Square or crossed).

A second application of IcaSoft is to determine the maximum strain value for fractured sample. With this use mode, you can also obtain, by interpolation, a couple of point (E1, E2) which represents a part of your FLD limit.

IcaForm, FLD determination System

ICAFORM allows the fast and automated determination of Forming Limit Diagram. The correlation between two images of a sample, before and after stress, is computed and results are displacement and strain fields over the whole tested surface. Applied to the domain of sheet metal forming, the technique allows to determine with high accuracy, the major and minor strain of the neeking point in a Marciniak or Nakazima test.
The main advantage of this very new technology is to reduce in time the process for the determination of FLD. The spray of a random pattern of paint at the surface of the sample is enough to determine strain distribution. An opto-mechanical device adaptable on any type of tensile machine allows to determine easily the FLD.
